CAITME 2024 - The Hub of Textile Innovations in Central Asia

The 15th Anniversary Central Asian International Textile Machinery Exhibition will be held within the period of 11-14 September 2024 in all pavilions and open viewing area of the NEC ‘Uzexpocentre”.

Uzbekistan's textile, garment and knitwear industry is a dynamically developing sector of Uzbekistan's economy, a sphere of implementing innovations and new technologies, attracting foreign investments, creating new enterprises, including textile and cotton-textile clusters, as well as realising large-scale social goals - creating a large number of additional workplaces. In recent years, the industry has made a huge leap in its development, firmly occupying its niche among the world's leading exporters of textile and garment products. More and more consumers are favouring products with the «Made in Uzbekistan» brand.

Celebrating its fifteenth anniversary this year, CAITME is rightly considered the hub of textile innovations in Central Asia. It is the most authoritative international exhibition of this specialty in the region, the high status of which is regularly confirmed by the independent audit of the UFI World Exhibition Association. It holds first place among similar events in CIS countries and is the second largest on the Asian continent. It is a platform for recognising and demonstrating the achievements and developments of world manufacturers in the field of textile machinery, where every enterprise can find the necessary equipment and components.

The event is supported by key ministries and agencies and is attended by all industry professionals and experts from the Central Asian region, including leading investors and international organisations.

The history of CAITME dates back to 2004, when it was held under the brand name TextileExpo Uzbekistan*. In 2008, the exhibition was rebranded and began to be held under the acronym CAITME (Central Asian International Textile Machinery Exhibition). The exhibition received the certificate of «UFI Approved Event» initially in 2012, which is awarded to events that have contributed to the development of the national economy of the host country and recognised by the international exhibition business community, and this status is confirmed on a regular basis. This year the exhibition is audited again to reaffirm its position as an event meeting high international standards.

Throughout its holding period, 3,224 companies from 33 countries took part in the exhibition and 64,129 people visited the exhibition.

The exhibition has become a unique bridge for many leaders of the textile machinery industry to enter the Uzbek market, who are engaged in both partnering and joint productions, as well as direct investments.

Every year the exhibition demonstrates the brightest «star» line-up of the world's leading manufacturers. Among them are well-known companies and leaders in textile machinery production: RIETER MACHINE WORKS, SAURER, TRUETZSCHLER, MARZOLI, PICANOL, TOYOTA TEXTILE MACHINERY, MURATEC, VANDEWIELE GROUP, JUKI, TAJIMA, TEXTIMA, ITEMA, BENNINGER, SANTEX RIMAR GROUP, BIANCALANI, FERRARO, SANTONI, LONATI, TERROT, MAYER, LINDAUER DORNIER, BRUCKNER, BROTHER, LAKSHMI MACHINE WORKS, USTER and others.

This year 403 companies from 22 countries have confirmed their participation: Austria, Belgium, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, India, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Republic of Korea, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Türkiye, United Kingdom, United States, and Uzbekistan.

As the Swiss textile machinery pioneer Rieter will be presenting the ROBOspin, the first fully automated yarn joining robot for the current and previous generations of Rieter ring spinning machines. This system will make it possible to join breaks, thereby significantly reducing labour costs. The automation of the joining process ensures consistent yarn quality regardless of the operator's skills. The ROBOspin system will increase the efficiency and thus the productivity of ring spinning machines. In addition, the robot never gets tired, does not get sick, and does not need breaks for lunch and rest.

The renowned German manufacturer Truetzschler will demonstrate the innovative new TC30i carding machine for processing cotton fibre, which allows to achieve the best quality level from any raw material, high productivity regardless of the machine operator, rational handling of the ginned material, which can be sold afterwards.
Global innovator Saurer, a trend-setter in fibre and yarn processing, will present at CAITME 2024 for the first time in Uzbekistan the Autoairo high-speed technology, the new Zinser 51 ring spinning machine and the Autocard SC 7.

Moreover, such important, energy-efficient, high-performance novelties will be presented at the exhibition in operation and in mock-ups at almost every stand. In fact, they are exactly what attract industry professionals and make the exhibition a significant event.

The share of foreign exhibitors at the exhibition has totalled 87 %.

China, Turkiye, Italy, Germany, India made the top five in terms of the number of exhibitors among foreign countries.

The expositions of the world leaders in textile machinery - Germany and Italy - will return to the exhibition in the format of national pavilions.

Germany has announced to have 16 leading companies on its national stand - manufacturers of textile, knitting, weaving, dyeing, finishing equipment, components for all stages of textile production, which under the auspices of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) with the support of the German Association of Machine and Equipment Manufacturers (VDMA) will present their most advanced developments and novelties at CAITME 2024. A total of 44 German manufacturers are expected to exhibit at the fair.

Italy is once again preparing to present an interesting exposition at its National Stand: 17 major manufacturers of carding, weaving, dyeing, finishing equipment, measuring and control equipment, cutting systems, accessories for knitting equipment, equipment for the production of woven labels and tags and much more. A total of 48 companies from Italy will be exhibiting at this year's show.

The Swiss association Swissmem is sponsoring the show and coordinating the participation of 13 Swiss manufacturers.

The Turkish association TEMSAD is preparing for a colourful debut at the fair. More than 70 manufacturers from Türkiye are planning to exhibit at the fair.

A significant competition to European participants will be the Asian leader - China, under the flag of which 96 companies will demonstrate their novelties.

37 companies from India will present their best developments in the field of textile machinery, auxiliary equipment and components / technical equipment.

The vast majority - 70% are regular exhibitors and only 30% are debutants.

The high percentage of traditional exhibitors confirms the business efficiency of the exhibition. The key to this success was the platform of b2b meetings and the high interest of national companies in mastering modern technologies and modernising production, as well as government support programmes aimed at further development of the domestic textile business.

The exhibition will once again provide an opportunity for the region's industry specialists to meet, see in operation the latest innovations from the world's leading manufacturers of textile and garment and knitting equipment, get first-hand advice and technical support, after-sales service issues, ways to overcome current difficulties in the field.

As part of the business programme, a Saurer seminar is scheduled for the second day of the exhibition on the topic "Spinning cotton on Saurer air-spinning machine Autoairo". The seminar will take place on 12 September from 15:00 to 16:00 in the ‘Congress Hall’.

The CAITME 2024 exhibition will be held within the framework of a week of international textile events, which will start on September 8 in the historical city of Samarkand with the ‘ITMF Annual Conference & IAF World Fashion Convention 2024’ conference, organised by the Uzbekistan Textile and Garment industry Association together with the International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF) and the International Apparel Federation (IAF).
