Uzbekistan will open trading houses in the United States to increase clothing exports
Uzbekistan plans to open two trading houses in the United States-in St. Louis and New York-in order to increase the export of finished clothing to the American market. This was stated by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at a video reclining meeting on the use of export capabilities and reserves of the textile industry.
It was noted that the US textile market is estimated at almost $ 100 billion annually, and when implementing additional measures to support exports from Uzbekistan, it can grow five to six times.
To expand the volume of supplies, the technical regulation agency was instructed to bring the number of enterprises with international certificates to 300.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will have to develop a “road card” in interaction with brands with a turnover of more than one billion dollars and invite them to a large exhibition in Tashkent, which will be held in September.
