Uzbekistan gained $1 billion from textile exports

The bulk of the supplies came from yarn.

In January-April, Uzbekistan exported textile products worth $1 billion, which increased by 1.4% compared to the same period last year. This is reported by the statistics agency.

At the beginning of the year, the main components of exported textiles were finished textiles — 37.3% and yarn — 46.8%. During this period, 469 types of textiles were exported to 55 countries around the world.

The total volume of textile exports included:
  • Yarn — $473.6 million;
  • Finished textiles — $377 million;
  • Knitted fabric — $94.6 million;
  • Fabrics — $52 million;
  • Hosiery — $14.2 million
