Countries deepen cooperation in the field of cotton breeding and textile industry, launching a joint project worth $ 140 million.

This initiative is aimed at creating a full production cycle - from growing cotton to the release of finished textile products. Currently, 2000 hectares of cotton fields have already been sown in Azerbaijan, with expansion plans to 6,000 hectares. This will significantly increase the production of raw cotton and reduce dependence on imports.

The project includes construction:

- modern cotton processing plant

- textile and sewing industries

- The plant for the production of cotton oil in the regions also simulated a Mingiachevir.

The launch of the project will ensure the work of 1130 people, which will contribute to the socio-economic development of these areas. The implementation of the project will strengthen industrial cooperation between the two countries and increase the export potential of their textile products.

Earlier we reported that the Azerbaijani company Azersheker and the Uzbek company Global Textile made large investments in the textile industry.
