Uzbek manufacturers cooperating with global brands will receive grants of up to $1 million
The President signed a decree "On measures to develop cooperation with well-known international brands and support national brands in the industrial sector".According to the decree, from September 1, business entities with high and medium sustainability ratings that have entered into direct contracts on establishing production with owners of well-known brands will have their costs covered for implementing international standards, environmental certification and certification for compliance.
The costs of improving the qualifications of specialists at enterprises that are brand owners, in particular at their production sites, will also be covered.
Grants of at least $1 million will be allocated for the production of industrial products under well-known international brands.
Along with this, for owners of brands included in the list of national brands, up to 50% of the costs will be covered for:
— the implementation of international standardization and certification systems, as well as the registration of national products and brands (trademarks) in foreign competent authorities;
— entering international trading platforms (marketplaces), placing products in "Made in Uzbekistan" showrooms in foreign countries, renting premises when organizing foreign trading houses;
— registration for participation in international exhibitions, renting a place, organizing exhibition stands and placing advertising materials on the Internet;
— implementation of information systems for the automation of production business processes (CRM, ERP, CERM);
— payment of salaries to qualified foreign specialists attracted for at least a year.
For these purposes, funds in the amount of $ 25 million will be allocated from the Trade Promotion Fund.
From September 1, 2024 to January 1, 2027, for brand partners producing at least 30% of products under a well-known international brand, the rates for land tax, property tax and tax for the use of water resources during the reporting period will be reduced by 50%.
