The President allocated 7 trillion soums to support textile enterprises

Uzbekistan, Tashkent - AN Podrobno.uz. The textile industry of the country will receive more than 7 trillion supports on behalf of the president. These funds will be aimed at developing clusters, the release of finished products and the creation of new jobs.

At the past selector meeting, the head of state emphasized that the key tasks for the industry are increasing competitiveness and export growth. In order to achieve this, textile enterprises are provided with benefits - a delay in paying loans, subsidies for the installation of solar panels and preferential conditions for the purchase of electricity, Uzbekistan 24 reports.

Particular attention is paid to reducing the cost and development of production within the country. The President instructed to create a special agency for the development of the textile industry, and also approved a 100-day plan, within the framework of which entrepreneurs should increase volumes and establish the production of branded products.

The industry has already begun to implement new projects. So, in the Syr Darya agroclaster, the production of knitted products made of mixed fabrics was launched. Enterprise managers note that the benefits provided open up unique opportunities and give confidence to thousands of workers in tomorrow.

"We perceive this support as a huge advance of trust. Now our main task is to justify hopes and bring Uzbekistan products to a new level of quality and export," said the head of one of the textile clusters.

Earlier it was also reported that Uzbekistan will open two trading houses in the USA, in St. Louis and New York, to increase the export of clothing. At the meeting, it was noted that the volume of the American textile market reaches $ 100 billion a year, and with additional measures to support exports from Uzbekistan, it can grow 5-6 times.
