Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Rolls-Royce purchases fabrics from Namangan Textilers-President

Uzbekistan, Tashkent - AN Podrobno.uz. Today, the president, completing his trip to the Namangan region, visited the textile cluster "Iftihor Kiim Sanoat". The company cooperates with the world car manufacturers Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Rolls-Royce, Bugatti, supplying them with upholstery fabrics. Also, orders of almost twenty foreign fashion brands are executed here.

Among the cluster partners are Pierre Cardin, Roy Robson, Lavard, Jake’s, English, Cinque, Walbusch.

It is noted that the total cost of the project amounted to 198 million dollars. Funds were aimed at building production capacities and attracting advanced technologies.

Energy efficient equipment from Germany, Italy, Turkey and Poland increased performance, and a specialized laboratory has become a key link in ensuring quality control and strengthening the trust of leading brands.

"Iftihor Kiyim Sanoat" began as a small sewing workshop, and today it is a large cluster with a full cycle - from growing cotton to export of finished products.

When reaching full capacity, the enterprise will produce products worth $ 100 million a year, create 2 thousand new jobs and ensure stable tax revenues to the budget. Cooperation with international brands guarantees a stable sales market and significant foreign currency income.

In general, Namangan today is the leader of Uzbekistan in the textile industry. This sphere accounts for a third of the industrial production of the region and half of its exports. About 2.5 thousand textile enterprises that produce products under almost 250 brands and provide high incomes over 100 thousand people work in the region.

Earlier, the president told what measures should be taken in order to completely eradicate absolute poverty in Uzbekistan by 2030.
