Farmers and textile clusters of Uzbekistan will be supported by loan compensation
Uzbekistan is introducing new measures to support farmers and the textile industry. Cotton and wheat producers will begin to be compensated for part of the interest payments on loans, and the amount of support will depend on the timing of loan repayment.

Compensations will be paid by the Agrarian Payments Agency under the Ministry of Agriculture. Thus, cotton producers will be able to return 2.5 percentage points on preferential loans if repaid on time, and with full payment before December 31 - already 5 percentage points.
For wheat farmers, compensation in the amount of 4 percentage points is provided - subject to full repayment of the loan by August 1.
Additional relaxations are also being introduced for businesses. Cotton-textile clusters, as well as full-cycle enterprises - from processing raw materials to producing yarn - will be able to compensate for part of the interest payments on commercial loans above 8%, but not more than 16%.
