Mirziyoyev ordered to restore the work of 16 idle textile enterprises

On July 21, the President held a meeting on the topic of analyzing economic growth rates for the first half of the year and tasks until the end of 2026.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev ordered the restoration of the activities of 16 textile enterprises, which had practically stopped production due to protracted legal proceedings for the repayment of loans. This became known at a meeting dedicated to analyzing economic growth rates.

As noted at the meeting, most of the idle enterprises are new production facilities. Due to their shutdown, the economy annually loses 5 trillion soums in products, and export potential is reduced by approximately $400 million.

The President noted that individual banks already have successful experience in restoring such enterprises. Toshkent cotton was given as an example, where, after the introduction of external management, production was resumed, and export volumes this year reached $10 million.

Responsible persons have been instructed to assign curators to each of the remaining problematic enterprises and ensure the complete restoration of their production activities.
